Welcome to VicFolk, the Victoria University of Wellington Folk Music Club
We play, dance to, and sing mostly traditional Irish and Scottish music. If you’re interested in playing or singing trad music, dancing or listening, get in touch, or keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on events. We welcome folk musicians who’d like to put on participatory folk music events. You can also book our band to play at your event.
Your last chance to dance with us will be at our End of Year ceilidh: 7th November, St Andrew’s Hall!
Our next events are:
End of Year Ceilidh, Sat 7th November, St Andrew’s Hall, 30 The Terrace
The final Vicfolk ceilidh of the year! We will bring you the usual evening of heart-warming social dancing with live music from our ceilidh band.

Here’s Vic Folk playing at International Dance Day at Te Papa in 2018. Thanks to Don Laing for the video! (More under ‘About VicFolk‘).
