Welcome to VicFolk, the Victoria University Folk Music Club.
We play mostly traditional Irish and Scottish music for dances. We also organise concerts and informal music sessions, and a festival (The Tunefest) in trimester two. If you’re interested in learning trad music, playing, dancing or listening, get in touch, or keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on events. We’d also like to hear from people interested in putting on their own events.
Practices take place during university terms at the New Zealand School of Music. Dates and notices will be sent through our mailing list and posted on Facebook.
From 15 March to 19 April 2018 we’re meeting weekly at 86 Fairlie Terrace, Room 006 from 5.30 to 7pm. (No practice on 5 April for Easter break.)
